Before baskets and feathers start flying, this badge is from Jerry Angier's outstanding badge collection. I am sure that Jerry thought it was Maine or he would have sold it years ago when he consigned to Depot Attic (Dobbs Ferry). It's smaller and has slots for a band to be sewn onto the hat. Really nice to see a small badge with 3 lines. Made by E. J. Brooks in NY so that is not much help either. Hey, after you buy it you can say it's Massachusetts Central.
