Believed to be post WWII vintage because of the Boston & Maine "shallow dome" style. The MEC and B&M under joint control ordered modern passenger cars just after WWII in hopes of reviving passenger service. We all know how that went. This badge was never used. It is flat as a pancake. For being the end-of-the-line this style badge is not common with the Maine Central name. Jerry Angier collection.
