An early "sewn band" style rectangular hat badge made by John Robbins for a Trainman on the Central Vermont Railroad. There are not many "sewn band" badges from New England. This badge also has unusual, small, fancy lettering. There is some wear to the finish with Robbins Boston hallmark on reverse. Jerry Angier collection.
