A Maine Central Railroad hat badge made for a Baggage Master. This is known as an MEC "rectangle" style badge. About 4" wide and curved back to fit on a hat. Both the railroad name and occupation are spelled out in all capital letters. There is a clear space between BAGGAGE and MASTER. It is standard to omit the word "Railroad" on this style of MEC badge. Some enamel loss in the lettering and gunk on the back. Jerry Angier collection.
