A Maine Central Railroad hat badge made for a Trainman. This is known as an MEC "rectangle" style badge. About 4" wide and curved back to fit on a hat. What makes this badge special is that it is very lightweight aluminum or some other alloy. It is very malleable. Both the railroad name and occupation are spelled out in all capital letters. There is no space in TRAINMAN. The lettering is also a very shallow strike onto the "blank". Guaranteed to be legit and quite rare, How often do I use "rare".
