Older "New Haven" style badge with MCRR over Baggage Man. Old photos show this style of badge used on the Maine Central. The transition to rectangular badges occurred a little after WWI. I once had a MEC Conductor hat badge in a box dated 1923. It had fancier lettering than the later versions. Jerry Angier collection.
